I liked the straight, honest approach that was given about my condition and surgery. As a patient I have to trust the treatment advice I am given and that it is in my best interests for my health. I was asked to lose weight to help my condition and recovery post op. If I did this then my surgery would take place in a timely manner. This advice and promise was kept, I lost the weight and got my surgery quickly. It is important to believe what you are being asked to do and why, this was achieved.

Never until I had met Mr Agrawal, had I met a consultant who was so caring, considerate and had a genuine interest in my case. I felt that I was his only patient. Being able to communicate directly with Mr Agrawal ( during lockdown 1) was so incredibly helpful. Something which I have never experienced before. In addition, he was very flexible. He fitted me into his clinic at a moments notice, which I imagine completely threw his clinic list into total disarray. Furthermore, I was astounded at how thorough he was. Carrying out diagnostic test after diagnostic test until he was completely sure that he had found the definitive answer to the problem. He didn't leave any stone unturned. I came to Mr Agrawal in February 2020 with the prospect of being permanently disabled. Here I am now a few months after revision total knee replacement walking the best I have done for the last year. I just can't thank him enough.

Mr Agrawal was the trauma surgeon that attended my son following a serious car accident leaving him with multiple fractures to leg, arm and wrist (with other injuries elsewhere) requiring many operations over a period of about a week. I was at the hospital with my son every day, not realising who this unassuming man in green scrubs was, although I noted his interest and care, even visiting the ICU to check on progress while he was in a coma. Having identified him as the surgeon, I struck up a respectful and appreciative friendship and soon found him to be very personably and he communicated readily, freely and frankly. This means a tremendous lot when you are struggling to process not only the grief and trauma of seeing your son smashed up but also what was happening to him medically, and trying also to anticipate what the future held for him! Of course, while Mr Agrawal was the trauma surgeon, a whole raft of professionals were involved and as far as I could see, the team work was very impressive. His quiet manner, ability to listen (and 'hear'!), respect for other professional opinions yet preparedness to express his own with humble firmness drew out our respect, appreciation and trust. Throughout the recovery process we have continued to receive the same level of interest, care and attention from him. My son's recovery has been far better than expected and while he has further yet to go, we are indebted to Mr Agrawal (and his team) for the excellent result. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
